I have a single small sunflower growing out of some small
stones near my house.
There is nothing else there. A seed must have dropped at some time and there was enough dirt and water for it to start to grow. It is not very big – only about 15″ high. I took photos at various angles to the flower.

Thank you, John. Its funny how I and try grow flowers from seed and don’t get anything and then out in the middle of nothing a sunflower pops up. 🙂
I love how sunflowers do that – popping up randomly in unexpected places. 🙂

Thanks, Bente. Most of my seeds didn’t grow but I don’t think it’s because of snails. I’ve never seen a snail here – I think it’s too hot and dry.
