The heat that has been plaguing the east coast and midwest is heading to the west coast.
After some very nice, temperate summer days, the heat is building. The sunny weather has brought out some of the wildflowers I seeded earlier this spring. Most are still pretty small, but a couple of them have bloomed.
The bees have been out in full force buzzing around all the flowers. In a month or so, the rest of my wildflowers should be blooming.

Love the photo with the bee… love them all actually…
Thanks, John. I have a goal to photograph a butterfly sometime this summer. I’ve only seen a few so far and this morning I almost got one before it flew off.
So pretty. Not familiar with the blue flower in the first photo. Do you know what it is? We have sun on the west side of the mountains the past few days. Loving it and so are the plants. 😀
I’m not sure what the flower is. I bought some packets of mixed wildflower seeds and that seems to be the one that’s growing the most. It’s fairly low to the ground and all the flowers are blue. Pretty though.
I love your flower photography, they are great shots again. Thank you dear Maralee, love, nia
Thank you again, Nia.
Love bugs …. but my pick is the sun rose bud.
