During the transition from Spring to Summer, all the spring flowers (and weeds) start dying off. They can leave some interesting remnants. The dandelion was in my yard (I had many samples to choose from).

The other flowers were outside my doctor’s office. I had seem them last week while I was there but didn’t have time to stop and shoot them. So I went back this morning. The light was pretty harsh as it is another cloudless, sunny day. I must have caught it shortly after the sprinklers had finished watering because there were still water droplets on the plants.

Stunning …. the top one – is fantastic. Dandelion – I loved that flower .. really, it is like having the sun on the ground in the early spring – but I also like the fragile “weed” – that flies away in every breeze.
all so pretty, especially that last one with the water drop.. : )
I really like the third one (like Dianne). The water droplets caught in the spines is great.
Thanks, Carissa. Have a happy Mother’s Day.
Stunning pictures, Maralee! The last ‘spidery’ one is interesting.
All very beautiful photos. The first one is my favorite..
Thank you. I love the intricacy of the dandelion. Nature can be so beautiful.
