Today was another overcast day – perfect for taking photographs in the garden. With that nice, soft light, there aren’t any harsh shadows and colors are more saturated. So, between raindrops, I went out to take photos of more spring growth in my yard. The wind was blowing pretty steadily and I tried to shoot between wind gusts.

I have a problem getting closeup photos close to the ground because my tripod doesn’t go down far enough and hand holding often times results in shake. Disperser’s blog suggested a green pod which I’m going to try out. I’ll let you know how it works.

Maralee

Beautiful:) Tonight we are getting your rain too!
beautiful Maralee, the last one is extra special of the colour and B&W…
Thanks for the photo tips again. And I’ll be interested to read how the green pod works out. I saw something small and similar the last time I was at the photo shop.
Great post.. Love how you processed the last photo.
Wonderful …. the top photo is my favorite, love the intensive blue in the flowers and the softness. Wish you a great weekend!
Great photos! It must be spring fever causing so many of us to capture the same flowers!! The difficulty of shooting close to the ground (yep, I shot grape hyacinths this week also) is that my eye does not go close enough to get the focus exact. I have a little tiny tripod but I guess I need a periscope and hold it upside down. 😀
The flowers are lovely!
