Today was one of those typical rainy April days. I’m sure it’s good for the flowers and the weeds, but it makes it a bit gloomy outside. While driving around, the rain was steadily pouring down on my car. Once I parked, I could hardly see through the windshield and it made some interesting views.

In the afternoon, the rain stopped long enough for me to go outside my office to take some photos of the raindrops on the tulips.

This rain is supposed to last for a few more days. Lets see what other plants can sprout.

Moody, gloomy, atmospheric and refreshing. Thanks for sharing Nonoy Manga
Wonderful!!!!! Love rain in photos. The last one is my pick of the day – but the one with window very good too.
Thanks, Viveka. I don’t mind the rain unless it lasts more than a few days. It does make everything clean and fresh. I particularly like it in the summer when we have an afternoon storm and the sweetgrass smells so nice afterward.
I love the smell of wet grass too and when walking in the forest after a rain – it smells so wonderful. Living on Ireland and working in Scotland I got my share bit of rain – it was terrible sometimes, but they need the rain for there whiskey making.
WOW! These are so beautiful dear Maralee… You did great shots. Fascinated me all of them. You are amazing. Thank you, with my love, nia
Thank you, Nia.
These are wonderful, Maralee! Is the second shot really through your windshield? I love the golden glow.
Thank you so much. And yes it was shot through my windshield.. I was in a parking lot in front of a Jamba Juice and they had tables with yellow umbrellas outside. I used a very shallow depth of field so the background was very blurred.
The moral of that, I guess, is always have your camera ready. Jamba Juice – who would suspect!
This is so lovely! You just motivated me to break out my 50mm 1.4 and get back into some creative images. Thanks so much!
So beautiful!! We had monsoons yesterday, sun so far today with predictions or a wicked storm with hail and lightening. The dark clouds have been hanging around all day just to the west of us.
