We don’t know how it happened, but one of the little osprey babies fell from the nest yesterday. I know Mother Nature can be harsh but it still makes me sad.

We don’t know how it happened, but one of the little osprey babies fell from the nest yesterday. I know Mother Nature can be harsh but it still makes me sad.

How sad! Where is the nest located?
It’s on top of a dead tree near the river at a friend’s house.
Harsh indeed . . . this Spring had the most dead birds that we’d seen, either in our yard or when out walking. Because they are far from any trees, I assume it’s something (squirrel or other birds) raiding nests.
It’s good to have your blog again. I’m sad for the death, too. Nature can be harsh.

Just went this past weekend to visit our Osprey’s and got to see a parent feeding one of the babies some fresh catfish!
