I have been keeping my eye on an osprey pair that appear to have eggs in their nest. Mom has been sitting on the nest for the past month and dad has been standing guard when he’s not out getting food. According to other people who have been observing this pair, the eggs should be hatching any day now. I’ve taken a few photos of dad.
Once the eggs hatch, I don’t imagine I’ll be able to see any of the youngsters for a while. But I will keep my eye out for them.

Your second picture’s a winner!
Great set, Maralee. Agree, your second shot is a stunner! Looks like a still from a movie set. 🙂
Very nice . . . it looks like you used Luminar’s Sky replacement tool or something similar. Nice.
I did. I was playing around with the app. Original sky was dull gray.
It does an amazing job for a one-click process (I’ve played with it a fair amount, and even merged my own photos).
Great shot. We have an osprey nest across the harbor that gets our attention for weeks until the babies are ready to leave the nest. I’ve never gotten a good photo though I’ve tried.
I like the osprey with the stormy sky and would appreciate it very much if I can use that picture in an activity book I am creating on Lake Superior.
I’m fine with you using that photo. Let me know if you need a higher resolution photo
Where on Lake Superior are you? I’m originally from Grand Marais, Minnesota
