The Wild-Eye camp sits right on the banks of the Mara River. And I mean right on the banks of the Mara River. Looking down at the river was a pod of hippos. I counted 41 but I may have missed a couple. At night they would come out of the water and munch on the vegetation right outside of our tents. We could hear the munching and the grunting. It was quite  exciting.
