After visiting Kolob, we drove to Gunlock State Park, just a little ways out of St. George. We had been told that there was a beautiful waterfalls there. We weren’t quite sure how to get to the falls – there were a couple possible ways. One was walking along the reservoir but we didn’t know where that would end up. The other was a steep climb down the side of a hill which seemed to be the route most people were taking.
After climbing down the hill, crossing a small stream over some broken branches, and another climb up a hill, we reached the waterfalls. It was quite beautiful.
As it turns out, the easier route would have been walking along the reservoir. 🙂

Fantastic landscape…. 🙂
Had you taken the easier route the falls might not have been as beautiful! 😉
Beautiful images, Maralee! The water and the red rock make a nice combo.
But would the easier route have been as pretty? 🙂
