Golden Eagle

Meet Nicholas. I met him yesterday on a visit to the High Desert Museum in the Birds of Pray exhibit. Nicholas lives there along with a pair of bald eagles. a great horned owl, a barn owl, and a barred owl.

All of these birds are rescue birds – they’ve been injured and would not be able to survive in the wild. Nicholas had been hit by a car.

I think he’s beautiful.
