Sparrow

There is something about autumn that causes the sparrows to congregate in the tree outside my office window. They keep me entertained.

  1. In spring the birds are busy pairing off and building nests. In summer they are busy rearing young. In the fall they’re all footloose and fancy free, and tend to form into small feeding flocks. Here in Seattle you can see groups made up of bushtits, sparrows, chickadees, and juncos flitting from bush to tree together.
