Love these Maralee.. You should consider creating coffee table books from of some of the birds you have captured over the years.
Thanks so much for your vote of confidence. 🙂 I’m having so much fun stalking birds. I’d love to get a better/sharper lens for my camera . . . it’s on my wish list. I carry my camera with me on all of my walks now. Some days I see nothing interesting and other days I am surprised by a new bird.
Well what you are able to captur with what you currently have is working! Are you currently shooting with the 70 – 300?
Yes – it’s the lens that came with my Nikon. I like it because I can hand hold it and use it on my walks. I have a good 500mm lens but I have to use a tripod for that. I’m researching a good 300mm that I can use walking. Tamron and Sigma have great reviews on some of their lenses that are less expensive than the Nikon lenses. I’ll keep searching. 🙂

Very nice to get right, left and front views. I had to sell my 500mm lens because it was getting too heavy for me to carry around with a tripod.
Great shots with some added cooperation. The little birds are often so difficult to catch sitting still.
