We are having our first big snowfall of the season today. It sure is pretty but I’m not looking forward to my drive home tonight. I just took this of the back of our office with my iPhone.

Maralee, it made me shiver, even though we are entering summer. I don’t envy you folks having to drive in that white stuff for months 😉
That’s the one thing about winter I don’t like . . . driving in the snow.
Looks like a lot of snow. Drive carefully.
I got home just fine yesterday but can’t get out of my driveway today.

We moved to Salem in May to be closer to the family (grown kids). There’s a lot I miss about Sisters but not the snow. It’s cold here but not even a flurry … yet 🙂
Today we have the cold. It’s 0 degrees here right now.
I have to say I am glad that weather is not here yet! Last year the east coast was stuck with a record number of days below freezing. This year according to the farmers almanac, we will be wet but not as cold…. The cold is scheduled be further west.. Is it typical to have that much snow this early in the year for you?
Its not unusual. Last year we had the biggest snow of the year in mid-November. We didn’t have any snow after that. This year we have snow and cold which has now turned to ice on the roads. I’ve lived here for 15 years and don’t remember the roads being as bad for so long as it has been this past week. I’m over with winter already. 🙂
Yikes.. Unfortunately for you, that storm could just be a sign of what’s coming in the months ahead 😟
