Prolific Echeveria

When we moved into our house 14 years ago, there was an area of our property we called the “lunar bin” because it was nothing but rocks, dirt and weeds.  Nothing grew there and there was no water going into that area.  Being that we live in the high desert, we did some xeriscaping landscaping.  Some of the plants are still growing and some didn’t make it.  About 10 years ago, we got 1 echeveria plant from our daughter-in-law and planted it.  It has been very prolific and has populated much of the area of our “lunar bin.”  We love it.  This time of year it is very pretty and what is really nice is that it stays green all year long. We still have some weeds growing but the echeveria is slowly taking over.
