We attempted to drive around the west Maui coastline but the road was closed partway there. Just as well…it was a one lane, twisting, turning, cliff hanging road for a bit before we had to turn around. But it was a gorgeous, rugged coastline. Very windy too.

I made that trip twice. Don’t think I’ll do it again unless they improve the road.

Thanks for your links. I was kind of thankful that the road was closed and we had to turn around. It was a little nerve wracking going on that narrow, winding road.
