Thanks, Rob. Someone else said cosmos too, so you must be right. :-). I’ll take your word for it as I’m not very knowledgeable about flowers. I just like to photograph them.
Funny but Cosmos came to our country in the feed for the British horses during the Anglo Boer war In the years from 1899 to 1902, the cosmos seed came over in the horse feed shipped across from Mexico for the British forces. So wherever we see banked rows of cosmos, we know that there’s a good chance that a British cavalryman may have passed there.
Nice shots. I’ve not gone out yet on my wildflower hunt, and the area where I had my walk last year got mowed just recently. I might have to settle for just enjoying yours.
Lovely pictures! Especially the one with the cart, and the bottom one, oh and the first one. Ok, especially all of them! 🙂
Where I grew up in South Africa we had many of those purple flowers, called it Kosmos. It lined all the country roads providing lovely colour every year.
Great!
Thanks, Mo. I love wildflower season.
I love the sunflower and the cosmos, well that’s what it look like…

There are a few places in the area I’d like to get to to photograph wildflowers but haven’t had a chance to yet this year.

Thank you so much. Someone else said the purple flower was cosmos so I think you’re right.
I bet you got tired out pulling that cart into just the right spot to make a nice composition. It was worth it though.
And it was soooooooooooo heavy. 🙂
I love wildflowers. Beautiful pics. Good to see the pic of your Mom and baby Henry on Facebook today. Hope she gets to go home real soon.
Thanks, Judy. We’re hoping they can figure out what’s going on with mom today. She’s still in the hospital. I feel so useless being so far away.
Gorgeous! The last one is my favorite. So beautiful 🙂
Thank you, Inga. The color of the last one is such a gorgeous color.
