I love poppies . . . especially the very large Oriental poppies. I’ve tried growing them in my garden but they just don’t seem to want to grow there.
These were taken at a local public garden. It was mid-day so the lighting was very harsh. I used the sun as a back-light for one of them.

Wow, my favorite summer flower again …. top photo is my favorite … stunningly beautiful when back lit. What a truly beautiful flower this is .. our farmers crop fields are just full of them this year. .
I wish I could see your fields of them. We just have them scattered about here.
Never seen so many as this year … but I think it’s something to do with that they can spray the crop anymore.
