He was actually diving down to the ground where there was more food. I was taking a sequence of photos while he was at the feeder and just happened to get this part of him while he was diving. The head got “cut off” in the photo.
Fantastic … first I thought he had got his head stacked in something … and died there, but then I read the comments – amazing shot … do they dive that straight down ???? – never seen anything like it. How luck were you with your camera. So happy that he wasn’t stacked with his head in something.
On most days!
🙂
🙂 🙂 Poor little fellow.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
No animals were harmed in the taking of this photo. 🙂
jajaja, Yes, literally, especially when trying to find something in my refrigerator, at the end of the month, and my salary expired days ago!
I know what you mean.
Mar, I don,t get the logistics of this photo. is he hanging? Where is his head?

Very funny! 😀
It was pretty funny. They do kamikaze dives all day long.
Hilarious my friend…yes today…under the weather.
I hope you’re feeling better.
He he he…. 🙂 you are amazing with your camera. Thanks and Love, nia
This was truly just luck. There’s no way I could have planned for this.
this is how I feel this morning and still feeling. Almost the end of the day, too funny 😆
Hope you’re feeling better and your weekend was wonderful.
Oh, thank you. I manage to unstuck my head. 😆
Yes.

He’s not the only one who dives straight down. The little birds to too. The bird seed falls down from the feeder so they dive down to get it.
Never seen a bird diving that straight before. Except when birds hunt over water … amazing shot, what a luck you had.
This is too funny!
I had to laugh when I saw it. This was just one of those “accidental” photos.
