This was a perfect challenge for me this week. I flew to Minnesota to visit family and on the leg from Bend to Portland, I was flying in a propeller plane and had a window seat. On one photo, I was trying to use a low aperture and high shutter speed to stop the motion of the propeller. The propeller isn’t quite sharp, but it was pretty much “stopped in mid-air.” That was a 1/8000 of a second at f/5.6.
The second shot was as we were flying over Lake Billy Chinook.

WOW! How about being above and on top of things. Your first photo is amazing.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thank you, Francine.

Thank you, Viveka.
Hope you didn’t jump out of the perfectly good airplane Maralee.
You don’t have to worry about me ever jumping out of an airplane. Just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine.

Thank you very much. And thank you for stopping by my blog.
Very nice. I especially like the first one. Great job stopping the motion.
