I have lived in three places and I consider all of them home.
First: Minnesota, where I grew up and lived until I was 21.
Second: Hawaii, where I lived for the next 25 years.
Finally: Oregon, where I still live.

Lovely shots, Maralee. I’ve lived in Oregon too (Portland / Beaverton), as well as Hawaii.
I knew you had lived in Hawaii. We may have even been there at the same time (I was there from 1974 – 1999). I haven’t been back in 10 years and it has been calling me for the last two. I need to go back and get my Hawaii fix.

Thanks. Mrs. Carmichael. That photo was take on the Oregon coast in Newport. The place we were staying was right on the ocean. This was taken fairly early in the morning when the tide was out. I don’t remember all the settings . . . it was several years ago.
Maralee, what wonderful places … and the photos are fantastic. AGAIN! I’m so in love with lighthouses. The air balloon is absolutely breathtaking with the reflections in the water. I have to go against my heart and give my vote to the air balloon.
Thanks, Viveka. I love lighthouses too and I photograph them every chance I get. There is a balloon festival here every July and I try to go down early in the morning when they take off.
