Day 316 – Experimenting in Photoshop

These short days are really cutting into my photo time.  There just aren’t enough light hours in the day right now.

I took these photos with my iPhone at the gym.  Most of the snow we had on Friday is gone, but there is still some in the shadow areas of the trees.

The photos are really not very interesting, so I decided to try some of the filters in Photoshop.  On a couple of them I used the oil paint filter along with a poster edge filter.

  1. Great shots … the first one is a bit scary .. it’s like the trees are dancing … swirling around. I like the no filter used .. my pick, beautiful with the thin layer of snow and the autumn colors comes through.

  2. You’re my inspiration, Maralee. I love reading your ideas about photography and turning a ho-hum into something fascinating. Thanks for sharing your experience.

  3. Very nice! I’ve been playing with filters a bit myself. It’s kind of fun to find out what they do and to tuck that information away for future reference. I really like the first one.
