It’s been a busy few days and today I just ran out of energy. Maybe it’s all the smoke in the air and the ash falling out of the sky. I didn’t know what I was going to shoot until I got home. We got this bunch of peppers at a local farmer’s market and have them hanging in the garage to dry. To me they looked like Christmas tree ornaments and decided to try shoot them. The didn’t come out quite as I’d have liked but I didn’t have the energy to go reshoot them. 🙂
Maralee

I really like the peppers.
Thank you, Judy. When are you headed to MN? How’s your mom doing?
Interesting photo… don’t know why you want to re shoot them… look good to me…
Thanks, Rob. I had a different photo in my head and it didn’t come out just as I wanted. If I had spent the time, I’m sure I would have gotten what I wanted. I was just too tired. 🙂
beautiful colors 🙂
Thank you very much.
Great shot .. the top one very good – the second I understand why you were not pleased with .. after all what you have delivered for a long time now. No good taking photos when tired – the inspiration is gone then and I looking forward for the re shot – I know you will nail it even better .. next time. Love thought about Christmas decoration with chilies.
Thanks, Viveka. When I’m just too tired, I don’t have the energy to put a lot of time in the photos so I just use what I come up with. I think it’s all the smoke and ash in the air here that just makes my eyes burn and make me feel so tired.
Is it … still burning .. ????? Been for weeks now !!!
Yes, it’s still burning. It’s up to 22,100 acres (34 square miles). They now have it 40% contained. It’s been pretty warm here and no rain at all so they’ve had a hard time getting in under control.
How terrible .. poor animals and birds … and people of course that have to escape and even loss their homes. Any rain in sight yet ??? Tough on the firemen too .. and the air crews.
I hasn’t burned any homes, thank goodness. Its burning deeper into the wilderness. Hopefully a lot of the wild life was able to escape. We may have a little rain next week and it’s supposed to cool down a bit. That should help.
Good news … thinking of all the small this year’s borne. Nature have a special power that recover very quickly and thanks for that.
I saw a truck-load of these hanging on some kind of rack on a trip out west. I think we were in Sante Fe at the time. It was beautiful. I didn’t get a good shot either.
I’ve seen big bunches of the peppers hanging in different places. I love the colors of the peppers.
I love how you get around exhaustion and not knowing what to shoot. And I love these peppers!
Thanks, Wendy. I’m hoping to get rejuvenated over the weekend. 🙂
very colourful! You should have had a bite of chili, that would have given you some va-va-voom! 🙂
Thanks, Zelmare. I’m going to use some of the peppers in a chili and salsa recipe this weekend. Maybe that will light my fire. 🙂
