I’ve been a bit under the weather the last few days with a summer cold and haven’t had much energy to get out and do any serious shooting. These daisies are growing right beneath our front window and used them for my daily shoot.
As a final chapter to my fawn series, I’m hoping we have a happy ending. Momma came back last night to check on “Hop-along” (that’s what I’ve named him). She had “Likety-split” (what I’ve named the other fawn) with here. After drinking some water and letting Likety run like crazy (it was just a blur), they headed back out of the yard. Hop-along was doing quite well walking on 3 legs and was able to keep up with Momma and Likety. So the last I saw they all three were leaving our yard.
I’m hoping that all is well with all three and that they will come back to visit.
There may be an Epilogue to this story.

Hope you feel better. Glad to hear that “Hop-along” got to join the others.
Thanks, Judy. Feeling a bit better today.
Pretty daisies! Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Thanks, Carissa. Feeling a bit better. Just have to let it run its course.
I love the photo of the bud.. beautiful… I enjoyed the update on the fawn… beautiful.. and I hated to hear you were under the weather… bad… get well soon so you can get back out there… good.
Thanks, John. The cold is just running its course and I’ll be fine soon.
Love daises … the flower of our county – I bet is was sad to see your tenats leave. I would have been. Hopefully they will be okay and that Hop-along will be able to use the 4th foot and get a normal life. It was wonderful to follow the whole adventure. Thanks for sharing.
I love daisies, too. They grow wild just about everywhere. It was a happy/sad moment when the deer left. Sad to see them go, but happy Hop-along was able to leave with them.
Same here – daises everywhere .. means summer to me. Maybe they will come back to visit. It was so great to be able to follow their saga. Thank you!
I love daisies and happy endings! 🙂
Me, too.
I love daisies!
I do too. They’re growing everywhere here now. I’m going to plant more in my garden next year.
You always manage to find something amazing right under your nose! Love the 2nd shot with petals still yet to unfold.
Its amazing how much more beauty there is in the world when you take the time to slow down and look. This project has helped me do that. I need to pay even closer attention though.
I had a summer cold last year. Summer colds might rank as the sickness I really dislike the most. One is not supposed to be sick during the summer, especially with a cold!
Fortunately the worst is over. Just have to get rid of the lingering cough now. But that could be allergies too. We have very high weed pollen right now. If there’s anything we have around here, its weeds.
San Diego has more flowers than any place I’ve ever been to, but flowers have pollen, too. We rank as one of the worst cities in America for allergies yet people keep moving here………lol
