We have a few new things blooming in the garden. Our rhododendron’s are starting to bloom, but the are pretty puny compared to the ones we saw in Portland a few weeks ago. I guess it’s the fact that we pretty much get no rain and they get a lot.

The firecracker sunflower I picked up has a new bloom on it and I was trying get a back-lit shot of it. But the darned wind wouldn’t stop blowing.
We have these new purple little flowers growing. I don’t know what they are. The grow fairly low to the ground. Again, even though they are low to the ground, the wind wouldn’t stop blowing.

So pretty!
Thank you, Susan.
Love the first one!
Thank you very much.
Your rhododendron’s not blooming until now ???? Summer late this year – here they have bloomed. Stunning all 3 photo’s – first one my pick, it has a delicate softness over it.
We have a little micro-climate in the area where I live. Everything blooms about 3-4 weeks later than anywhere else in the area.
Okay … I thought it’s a bit late .. but the summer will last longer that way. Over here nearly most pretty flowers has done their job, a pity. Poppy season now.
I put some wildflower seeds in the ground in May and they’re growing now, so probably mid-July I’ll have new flowers. I hope so.
Nice shots! I hear ya about the wind. It’s been the bane of my photographic life these past few days! Grrrr!
As of this moment, it’s calm. But, of course I am at work. By the time I get off, the wind will have picked up again. Sigh . . .
Beautiful so beautiful colours you captured… Thank you dear Maralee, love, nia
Maralee,
I received the greeting cards I ordered from you. I want everyone, who sees your work, to know how pleased I am with each and every card. The quality is first class, and the photos are gorgeous. It will be hard for me to part with them one by one when I send them to others. (The cards I purchased are 5×7 with whatever photo I chose on the front and are blank inside. They also come with envelopes.) They will be perfect for any occasion, and I’m sure that the recipient will love receiving one. Thanks again.
Love, Judy
great shot, beautiful colors!
