I love lilies, but I have an allergy to them. The strong scent can cause me to have sneezing fits and watering eyes. But they are beautiful flowers and I will endure the allergic reaction to take photos of them.
I took these photos outdoors so the smell wouldn’t affect me quite so much. As much as I would like to keep them in my house, these flowers belong to a friend so I was able to enjoy them without much allergic reaction.

Beautiful! The second one looks like a painting to me.
I adore lilies, and these are spectacular!
I do too. I just wish I could have them around without sneezing. 🙂
Gorgeous!! 🙂
Thank you.
Even if allergic you took some stunning photos – must say the the top photo is mine pick for the day. Like the softness .. Love lilies too – but the big white, when I lived in UK – I got 6 for $5.00 at Mark & Spencer and they lasted up to 14 days. In Sweden you get one lily for that.
Thanks, Viveka. I enjoy lilies from afar. They are such a beautiful flower.
so lovely!
Thanks, Joanna.
So beautiful. The colors are so elegant. Thanks for holding your breath long enough to get these shots to share. 🙂
Thank you. I’m okay as long as I don’t get too close. I didn’t know I had an allergy until I got a lily one year and when it opened I went and took a great big sniff of it and I was miserable for the next two days. So I just have to keep my distance.
Oh, these make me miss my own Tiger Lilies! The vole ate them this winter and it makes me terribly sad to know the bright blooms will not be gracing my garden this summer.
I haven’t had a vole problem here, but we do get the deer, raccoons and skunks. I don’t know which of them eat my flowers, but often I get up in the morning and some of the heads of my plants are missing.
The deer took out my tulips and hyacinth this week! Erg!
