I have always looked at sunflowers as a happy flower. It brightens the day and lifts your spirits. There are more than 30 varieties of sunflowers. I don’t know which these are, but they are a nice prelude to summer to me. We have to go through spring first, but summer isn’t far behind.

Thank you. I’m partial to the first one too.
Very nice. I like your photos.
I really like sunflower!
Thanks. I hope to photograph some of the really big sunflowers later this summer when they appear.
Maralee, I too share your love of Sunflowers. Your photos are delightful. Thank you for sharing them. Lyanne

Thanks, Bill. That’s my favorite too.
Your exquisite photos are a lovely way to mark the seasons. It’s astonishing the beauty one can find around them once our eyes are open.
So pretty!
Thanks. I can’t wait to see them for real out in the garden later this summer.
I am a fan of yellow flowers. These are lovely 🙂
Thanks so much. I’m a fan too. Yellow just seems to brighten up everything.
Really good. First one is my favorite. What lenses do you use?
Kenneth
Thank you. I use a Sigma 18-200 zoom lens for Nikon. I’m hoping to get a macro lens before too long. I’m saving up for it.
Beautiful pictures – love them all!
I love the closeup of the side! We so often focus on the seeds….wow
Thank you so much.
Wonderful set of photographs Maralee. I am particularly fond of the first shot too!
Thank you very much.
Yes, first one is amazing, but the others are so nice too, reminds me the famous painting 🙂 Thank you, with my love, nia
Thank you so much, Nia.
Something has happen here .. suddenly I wasn’t following you. Thought it was a bit quite in your end of the world. Look what I have missed. Days of color. Sunflowers, my kind of flower .. it brings the sun indoors.
I had that happen to me too . . . a couple blogs I was following dropped off somewhere. I’m glad you reconnected. 🙂
Yes, thought it was so strange that you haven’t posted anything. But Easter is family business …
Sunflowers in all shapes and sizes are always a day brightener. You captured their varied poses very well.
