I wanted to find more signs of spring today so I went down to the river again. There were a few buds popping up, but I didn’t have my tripod and the photos were too blurry to print. I did see a swan swimming in the river and a couple of geese sunning themselves on a rock. A hawk kept flying back and forth and I have a lot of shots of a blurry spot to prove it. This was the sharpest one of the bunch, and it isn’t all that sharp.

Tomorrow we are supposed to be back to having rain and snow and it’s predicted to last for the next 10 days. I know spring will arrive, but it may take it’s time.

Lovely! I wouldn’t cry fowl on these shots. (Ha ha ha ha.) I saw four or five ducks down the river on my own river walk today, but I spooked them and they swam even farther away and I couldn’t get a good shot of them. It was only later when I looked at my pictures that I saw that there were some geese further down the bend, too. They weren’t nearly as nice as these pictures, though. The hawk picture is pretty cool but my favorite is the swan — love that there’s even some water dripping from its beak.
Really beautiful pictures! 🙂
Lovely images. I took similar photographs to these on Wilden Marsh yesterday. 🙂
Lovely photo … the hawk is very COOL … admire you that drag the tripod with you every time you go out for catching the day – thinking of my old EOS that lays on the top shelve in walk in closet – togeter with his mates, the lenses. Hungry for film. Don’t know if there is any film around still to fill him with. Gone so lazy !!!! We have sun today.Enjoy your rainy Sunday.
Love the swan and the hawk! Due to the blur of the trees in the background you do get the sense that the hawk was flying at relatively quick pace.. Fantastic!
so beautiful.. ; )
