Never lose an opportunity to see anything that is beautiful.
It is God’s handwriting – a wayside sacrament. Welcome
it in every fair face, every fair sky, every fair flower.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

I get a lot of inspiration from the work of other photographers. They help me to see things differently and to look that things I might normally pass by.

One of those photographers is Sarah. By following her blog (click here), I have started to look and my surroundings more closely and see the beauty in the small things.

Another photographer who has inspired me is Joanna (click here) whose blog focuses on water elements. I’ve been trying to photograph a water drop for some time and can’t seem to get it quite right (I still can’t).

But I’m inspired to keep working at it until I get what I’m striving for.

There are many other photographers out there who inspire me every day. So thank you to all of you.

Beautiful shots.
Love these, particularly the rose hip (or whatever it is — it sure looks like a rose hip but who knows if it’s some other fruit). It looks like a little jewel! The “Tired?” one is gorgeous too. The plant is still beautiful but seeing it flagging like that, it really summarizes the whole season quite eloquently. Wonderful!
Thanks for the shout-out. 🙂 To have someone say that something you’re doing is helping them look at things differently is the ultimate compliment.
You’re welcome. I look forward to more inspiration from you.

I especially like the lichen on a tree. The colors are beautiful.
These photos are so crisp and clear. They truly capture the essence of the subject. Spectacular.
Hi! Great photos! Yes, that little red berry is a rose hip. And the “tired” plant is Mullein which is an amazing medicinal plant with so many uses! Wonderful pictures….keep up the great work!
Thank you for the kind comments. And thanks for identifying the plants. There will probably be more in the future I’ll need help in identifying.
