Day 43 – Mountains, Part II

Cascade MountainsAnother gorgeous day!!!  A friend at work told me about a place where the mountain range was in full view without any obstructions, so I went to check it out.  It was gorgeous.  The mountains were literally “in your face” close.  I couldn’t get the entire mountain range in one photo, so I had to do some panoramic work.  I took several photos and stitched them together in Photoshop.

I went back at sunset but missed the actual sunset.  But as most photographers are aware, some of the best colors come out in the half hour after sunset.  As the sun sank further behind the mountains, the clouds started turning a deep red.  It was beautiful.

  1. I love mountains. Lived in Illinois and Michigan for nearly 40 years, and once I moved out here I remembered what it’s like to see granite giants gracing the horizon. You have a nice view of them.

I'd love to hear from you
