I don’t know how one of the guides spotted this leopard. It was sleeping on a branch in a tree with a lot of foliage. From our vehicle I could not see it with my naked eye. After looking through a pair of binoculars I spotted it and was able to get a couple of photos. This is with a 400mm lens and cropped. We watched it for a while to see if it would move but the guides were fairly certain it was settled in for a while. We went back in the afternoon but it was gone.

Guides are wonderful and invaluable aren’t they? The one and only leopard I have ever seen in the wild – earlier on his year – was thanks to the eagle eyes of our guide.
I was so impressed with our guides and what they could see. They are invaluable.
