At the end of our first day at Amboseli, on our way back to the lodge, we heard about a lion sighting near our lodge. It was getting dark when we got there and very difficult to see the lion (there were actually 2 or 3), but I finally spotted the on sitting in the grass. I had to use a high ISO and just hope I could get focus since it was so dark. There were quite a few zebras, some water bucks and wildebeest making their way through the field and we were sure the lion was going to attack. The zebra got past the lion without incident and the water buck and wildebeest sensed something was not right and did not go by. It finally got too dark for us to see anything at all and we headed back to our lodge.
