While we were watching the dancing grebes, there were several other birds in the area. One was a great egret who flew by a few times before landing in some tall grass on the other side of the cove. It was quite a distance away so it was difficult to get a clear, sharp shot. It stayed there for quite a while until some red-winged blackbirds started harassing it and it flew off.
