I came across this maple tree that has completely changed to its fall colors. Way too early – we usually don’t get fall colors until later in October. But this tree is a bit of an anomaly – it is the only one in the park that has changed color.

If you notice in the background, there is someone who was getting married in the park.

I liked how the the sun was backlighting these cattails.

Some trees are like some people . . . they want to go to go to sleep early . . . and I was wondering about that figure even before you mentioned it.
At first, I thought she had a baby carriage (stroller, in the modern vernacular) but it almost looks like a person on a scooter in front of her.
Was there an actual wedding in the park or did she just forget to do the laundry?
There was a actual wedding. What you see is a person in a wheelchair. There is a little jetty that goes out into the river and that is where the actual wedding took place. I passed it as they were getting ready for the ceremony.
It certainly looks like a nice place for a wedding . . . it’s tempting to say the tree partook in the celebration . . . but it was probably just reacting to moisture loss.
