This adorable tiny hummingbird was at my feeder last night. I wasn’t sure what kind of hummingbird it was but my Merlin Bird ID photo app came to the rescue.

Of the hummingbirds we had, they were some of the more difficult to photograph because they took a long to gain their trust. For a long while, the moment they would spot me, they’d fly off.

We used to get a fair number of them in Colorado and I’ve been able to get decent close-ups.

Obviously this little fighter boxes way above his weight class!

Me too. I’ve had a lot of hummingbirds arrive at the feeders over the lat two weeks.
