I don’t know what’s going on with Scarlett and Rhett but there isn’t much activity at the nest. I hadn’t seen either of them for a week and then Thursday morning Scarlett was standing on a perch by the nest. And I haven’t seen either of them since then.

Would be a tragedy if their brood came to some sort of premature end.
I’m not sure they had any eggs this year. I just hope both Rhett and Scarlett are both alive and well.

Gorgeous photos, Maralee! It sounds like this wasn’t the year for Scarlett & Rhett, but I’m sure they are still together. They should be keeping an eye on their nest for territorial purposes, as they will want to return there for their next breeding season. Keep an eye out for them in surrounding trees and perches!
I hope you’re right. I keep looking around to see if I see him but they’re hard to see in the trees. I swear I hear him though. I hope its not my imagination.
