It was 10° F when I got to the office. The hummingbird feeder was frozen. I changed the nectar and within the hour this little fellow showed up . It was still early and the feeder was in a shadow so the photos aren’t very good, but I’m so amazed at these tiny birds surviving such cold temperatures.

Daily, I look forward to your photos and comments. This is another precious one. thank you.
This is one bird I would really love to see, we don’t have them here, our sunbird is the closest we have. What a delight to have then call in your garden Maralee.
I love the little hummingbirds and can’t wait for the rest of them to return this spring.
It seems amazing to me for you to see one when it is so cold.
I know. It really took me by surprise.
