I’m not totally sure this is a golden-crowned sparrow but that’s the closest bird that comes up in my bird ID. But it sure is a cute little bird.

He/she is a cutie! Love your first capture. I’m terrible at some of the sparrow IDs myself, just spent over half hour trying to ID a sparrow in one of my recent photos, lol.
I need my Merlin ID app to identify most of my birds. Even then, it is sometimes not very clear.
