Throwback Thursday – Bessie Butte

A few years ago, my husband and I did a hike to the top of Bessie Butte.  The area was ravaged by fire in 2003 and 2007, so most of the scenery is of burnt out trees. But from the top of the butte, there is a panoramic view of the hills and mountains. This photo was taken late in the afternoon when there was a bit of a haze in the air. I haven’t been back to hike the butte since then but going back to this photo makes me want to do it again.
