Birds of Hawaii #1: Java Sparrow

While I was in Hawaii, I tried to get photos of some of the birds. This one is the java sparrow and I thought it was the cutest little birds. The origin of this bird is Indonesia but it has become uncommon there due to loss of habitat and from hunting.  But they are abundant in Hawaii. These were at my stepson’s house in Kaneohe and I can verify that they were abundant.
