My posts may be somewhat sporadic for a few weeks. We’re doing some work on our house and I am spending almost all of my time away from the office working on the house.
This photo is of a quail on the rail of part of our deck. This deck does not exist anymore. We ripped it out and are building smaller deck that is open to the yard. It is exhausting work.

Where will the poor quail go now?
He will still be there, just on a lower deck rail.
Wow . . . That’s a little drastic, isn’t it? If I did not want it perching there I would have put a plant there, or maybe a string along the handrail . . . ripping the whole thing out smacks of serious irritation with the quail squatter.
We’re replacing it with a lower rail so the quail will still have a place to perch. 🙂
And is Mr. Quail supervising the project?
I think he’s there somewhere making sure we make it accessible to him.
