I’ve seen a number of these tiny birds clinging onto tree trunks and pecking at them. I don’t know what kind of bird it is, but it sure is cute.

It must be because it makes me happy watching it.
I think it’s a nuthatch Mar. Do they often look upside down on the trees? We have them here but with more white on it’s head. This is a red breasted version. My best guess anyway

I don’t know many things about birds of North America, but I have read on Internet that you have there four species of nuthatch :Brown-headed Nuthatch, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Pygmy Nuthatch and White-breasted Nuthatch.
I am not sure which one is yours, but maybe is it a Pygmy Nuthatch?
