I’ve been “photo stalking” this great blue heron that has been frequenting the section of the river where I walk on my lunch hour every day. Most of the time he just stands on a rock for long periods of time. I had a few extra minutes one day and sat there watching it and was fortunate enough to watch it catch a fish and eat it. It was the most exciting thing that happened to me all week.

Very awesome capture!
Thank you very much.
Given the size of a heron, that’s not a small fish, either. Must have been nice to experience it . . . except for the fish, of course.
I was just hoping to see it fly so the fish was an added bonus for me.
A winning sequence, that’s for sure Maralee!
Thank you very much. It was exciting.
SUPER!
Thank you so much.
It is always good to see patience so well rewarded. I must try it myself one day.
I was very lucky. I didn’t have to wait long. Once I sat down on the rocks, he grabbed the fish. Right place at the right time.
It’s the best way!
This bird is a very good fisherman!
It is. It was amazing to watch.
Fantastic captures, Maralee. Patience paid off!
I was very lucky I really didn’t have to wait very long. Just the right timing.
Very neat! It would make my week, too!
Thanks, Judy. I was very fortunate.

Thank you. I couldn’t have timed it any better that day.
