One of my bird feeders broke yesterday as I was filling it and I had bird seed all over my sidewalk.
I knew the birds and the quail would come and clean up my mess so I scattered the seed in the yard.
Sure enough, a very large family of quail stopped by for breakfast today . . . and lunch . . . and dinner.

Amazing! Such beautiful birds you get where you are 🙂
Thank you. I’ve always thought the quail we have here are beautiful and unique. I love watching them.
How wonderful… and what beautiful birds…
Thanks, Rob. They are beautiful birds . . . and the males are more beautiful than the females.
magic!
Thank you.
Fantastic captures! 🙂
Thank you, Inga.
Awesome! the birds as well as the shots…lucky the feeder spilled….such lovely guests you had over then!
Thank you. The quail are around quite a bit – they will clean up the bird seed that the birds drop from the feeder. They just had more bird seed than usual this time.
Those are the fattest quail I’ve ever seen. You must be spilling way too much seed! 😉 Great shots!
They are pretty fat. I’m wondering if it’s because we haven’t had any winter and there is more food available out there for them.
Beautiful birds . . .
Thanks, Emilio.
Such cool birds!
Thank you, Kerlund.
The quails are beautiful.
Thanks, Judy. They are pretty interesting birds. I love their markings and coloring.
What a treat to have birds like that in your yard.
I enjoy having them. They’re fun to watch.
Those are some gorgeous shots of beautiful birds! And how nice of you to fatten them up accidentally 🙂
Thanks, Heather. They look like they don’t need to much more fattening up. 🙂
