I went for a walk along the river on my lunch break yesterday. I was hoping to photograph some of the fall colors but when I saw this swan, he grabbed most of my attention. He was across the river from me, but I had my zoom lens on and with a little cropping, you can see him. And I even got some fall colors in the background.

I believe they do stick around. The river doesn’t freeze over and there is plenty of food available.

My favorite bird … visited my swan family the other week .. the chicks are so big now. Such beautiful bird – do you know that the Queen of England is the protector for UK’s wild swans. Your photos are beautiful and very romantic.
