One of my favorite places to travel is the Banff/Lake Louise area in Alberta, Canada. From what I have observed, they take protecting their wildlife seriously and there are signs everywhere to show it.

I’ve been to Banff and Jasper once, many years ago, and it still ranks as the most beautiful place I have visited, although Yellowstone comes in a very close second.
I haven’t made it up as far as Jasper yet, but that it on my list for next time I get up there. :-). Yellowstone is another one of my favorite places except it gets so darned crowded.
I am not sure that it would be a good place to bring my bike.
We actually did several bike rides while we were there and never came across any wild animals. We did see a grizzly bear and a black bear while driving though.
