I saw these interesting flowering cabbage plants and had to photograph them. Here’s what gardening.com says about them:
Ornamental cabbage and kale are in the same species, Brassica oleracea, as edible cabbages and kale. They are the result of hybridizing and, although they are still edible, they aren’t as tasty and tender as their cousins. Although sometimes referred to as flowering cabbages, it’s the leaves that give the plants their color and interest as ornamentals.

Just one word .. I can use here – WOW! that top photo is so fantastic, Maralee – that I want blown up … not that I have anything in purple in my home .. but it will go so well with my forest green hallway. Stunning .. absolute taken by it. I love the flower cabbage … we use it a lot up here. In outside pots and flower arrangements.
Outstanding….
Wonderful photos of these cabbage!
Amazing!! I cannot pick a favorite of the three. And I love the way you processed these images.
