We have had a lot of hummingbirds at our feeders recently so my plan was to sit on our front porch and photograph them when I got home from work.

It was 90 degrees out, and very hot sitting on the porch. Not a single hummingbird showed up. They probably had a lot more sense than I did and were sitting somewhere in a cool nest among the trees.

But while sitting there I was looking at some of the plants growing in my containers and liked some of the patterns. I’m still working on getting the photos to come out as I see them in my mind’s eye.

Maralee

They’re all beautiful, Maralee.
Thank you, Susan.
Beautiful incredible flowers….love the colors and how vibrant they are:)
Thanks. All the flowers make my porch a happy place. It’s not very big, but I enjoy sitting out there (when it isn’t too hot).
What you have snapped are brilliant… it might not be what you wanted, but it certainly looks perfect to me… sure I can’t see the originals, but your photos make me imagine what your originals must look like… beautiful…
Thanks, John. Sometimes I think my minds eye has an unrealistic view of things. I’m happy with how they turned out.
I still love, love love the purple lily – so gorgeous! 🙂
Thank you, Zelmare. I’m hoping they continue to grow for a while. I’ve had them for three weeks now and they’re still going strong. 🙂
These are beautiful and fit perfectly with this week’s 52 Pick Up theme!
Thank you. I’ll have to take a look at the 52 pick up theme this week. 🙂
Wonderful images.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thank you, Francine.
Maralee, these are so beautiful!
I just love it when an adventure goes bad and winds up being a great adventure anyway.
Ah…. This is where you hide all your pretty floral shots. 😉
Thanks. 🙂
Thank you so much, Carissa.
…..and another Russel Ray camping trip comes to an end………………..Hope all is well.
Thanks for stopping by Russel . . . until next time, Aloha.
