There have been quite a few hooded merganser couples out on the water this week. They are another very interesting duck. They are very shy and will quickly move away when someone comes near. Maralee
I thought this was a hooded merganser but it seems, in fact, it is a bufflehead. Someday I will know more about the birds around me. 🙂 Maralee
