Fly, Fly Away – Day 27 – A Year of Wildlife
I've been practicing photographing birds in flight using my Sigma 150-500mm  lens without a tripod. It's a heavy lens but almost impossible to photograph flying birds using a tripod. A Year of Wildlife – Day 11 – Geese
While stalking my favorite heron, several Canada geese flew in and landed nearby. It didn't seem to faze my heron in the least. One of the geese positioned itself on a rock and started to do some ballet.
Flying
While watching the heron yesterday, it flew about 100 feet down the river. I managed to get a few shots of it in flight. Maralee
