The Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal is probably one of the most popular attractions in Montreal. It is open to the public when church is not in service or when special events re taking place for a nominal fee. We were able to spend some time in the cathedral to wander around and take photos.
The cathedral is large – it can hold 4,000 people. It is hard to describe the beauty of the interior of this church. The pipe organ is gorgeous and I can only imagine what it would sound like.
Just as a note, this is the church where Celine Dion was married. What a magnificent venue for a wedding.
